Weeknote 5 - 2026-08-01

I’m currently on holiday in Slovenia. We’ve just had three nights in Ljubljana, and are now on our way to Lake Bled.

Last weekend I went for a long run through new woodland, then gave blood the next day.

Monday and Tuesday were working days; Monday was in-office. I tried to be productive on Tuesday, and got a few things sorted out for the team, but I was so ready to log off. My last break was in April, but it feels so much longer ago.

Slovenia has been good to us so far. The weather has been hot, and we’ve been able to eat where we want and get around okay.

I’ll do a longer holiday post, but it is definitely important that if you’re getting the bus, get to the stop early. The buses are in high demand and there’s not much of a queuing system. Lots of people with tickets get turned away and have to wait for the next one, or two!
